If you haven't heard by now, "Let Us Entertain You" is for sale.  As you may or may not know Mary and I would like to continue our careers in the Circus. Unfortunately we have found that is it impossible to do both.   This is a great opportunity for someone in the entertainment field, but definitely not a requirement to own this business.  We are well established, have a large clientele and a great reputation.  We have drastically reduced the price for a quick sale.  We are asking 100K,
which could almost be made in just 1 year's profits! There is also a great potential for expansion.  If you are interested or know anyone who is interested, please call Steven Reichel at 914-758-6084.

Member Profile - Ed Rosen
Magic has played an important role in Ed's life since he was nine years old.  That's when an aunt gave him a magic set for his  birthday.  Ed was a shy introverted young man, but as his skill in magic increased his shyness diminished.  He was soon accepted by peers, especially after his first magic performance in high school.  Ed's stage name became Edwardo the Magnificent, and as Edwardo, he mainly performed for children.

As Ed grew older, he entertained fellow servicemen and  students while in college.  Magic even helped pay for tuition.  After school Ed went to work for a large computer firm as an electronics engineer.  The company would, on some occasions, ask Ed to entertain for charitable events. Fellow workers soon started calling him Emag (a contraction of his stage name), which eventually became his stage name.

"About six years ago, due to down sizing, I was  forced to leave the company.  I decided to perform professionally at that time." says Ed.  In the past two years he has given shows at parties, shopping malls, company picnics, fund raisers and other affairs.  Although he especially enjoys performing for children, Ed draws a different type of enjoyment and
satisfaction from adult functions.  Ed reflects, "Athough I wish I had decided to become a professional magician in my youth, I am happy to have this opportunity now."

After dinner M.C. and President Neporent welcomed all and presented magic from his own collection including an original card to sock.  Lew introduced the opening act, our own Peter White, who had everyone in stitches with a skit using members Joe Quitoni, Frank Monaco, Lew
Neporent, Giovanni Mazzarelli, and Ed Fitchett.  Lew then introduced our feature act, Torkova, who proceeded to mesmerize all with his award winning sleight of hand.  Hats off to everyone envolved for making the evening a success.

THANK YOU!

Thank you to Gale Alexandar for arranging and hosting the October workshop "Magic and Music".  Several enthusiastic members demonstrated various routines choreographed to familiar music and soundtracks that added to their presentation.

Gale first introduced Lou Neporent who performed symphony of rings to classical music.  Steve Johnson presented a different kind of slight of hand with juggling and a troublewit routine.  Our M.C. Gale Alexander brought us into the "Twilight Zone" by making Vice President Mazzarelli's
head disappear.  George Franzen then demonstrated his drawing/vent skills with the help of recording technology.

After the performance, there was discussion about music royalties and several tips on music equipment.    Next came a show after the program with the always innovative Zelig "Maguyver" Hammar showing his rice production cans.  Zelig can create a magic prop from just about anything!

Harvey Berg floored everyone (again) with a book test and his Countdown card trick.  Lew Neporent was up again with ring on string, card warp, and Bizarre Twist.  The evening was closed out with Terry Morgan doing NFW, The Web, and Oil & Water.
